What's new

What changed in the game lately, newest first, with the pages that tell the whole story. The news on the website announces each update too.

Late October 2026

Alerts you choose. Alerts can now tell you much more: besides a host marching on you and a battle, a work finished, ravens over your walls, a host's errand done, the end of a quest or an exploration, a find or a warband nearby, a whisper, news of your Order. Tick in Settings what they should tell you: each is off until you tick it, and your choice holds on every device. See the interface.

Explorations go farther. The farther an Explorer travels, the better its fortune: first contact, relics and favour grow more likely and richer, up to another continent, and no one answering grows rarer. The Send a host panel shows the odds of the site you choose. See Explorations.

Smaller things. The tour now shows your objectives, replayed from Settings too, and an objective that shows as reached can always be claimed at once. The Kindred button and its tabs show when a kindred work or an art is under way. On a computer, a button in the top bar puts the game in full screen (the interface). A number typed in the Send a host panel no longer loses its place while the march is worked out. The wiki's search looks in the wiki's language only.

Alerts. The game can tell you, on your phone or your computer, when a host marches on one of your strongholds to fight and when a battle is fought by or against you, even with the game closed. Turn Alerts on this device on in Settings, once in each browser you play on. See the interface.

The battle simulator. Before you risk a host, fight the battle many times and see how often each side wins and what each loses. It is in the Hosts panel, and a scout report or a battle report fills it in for you. It is also on the wiki, in the calculators, with costs and times and marches.

The world moves on its own. Comets fall and caravans are abandoned near the lords who play, leaving spoils fields for anyone to salvage, and warbands ride out of the Wilds against the realms that have outgrown their fledgling protection. See World events.

Objectives. Milestones to reach as your realm grows, from your first Iron Mine to a hundred battles won. Each one gives Fateshards, some a spin of the Wheel of Fortune, and a badge on your profile. They are in the Objectives tab of the Lord panel; see Objectives.

A livelier world. Roads join the sites of a province and rivers run from its lakes. Hosts on the map are riders under their lord's banner, red for another's. A new building rises in stages while it is built, and one razed to the ground leaves ruins. In a battle replay, archers loose arrows, catapults throw stones and cannons fire, while the rest charge; a quest's battle is fought in the dark forest of the Wilds.

The Rolls for everyone. The website shows the Rolls to anyone: the ten best lords and Orders of each world, updated every ten minutes. See Renown and the Rolls.

The wiki. Calculators, a tech tree that shows what each level opens and everything a unit needs, and each building as the town shows it.
