Orders and allies¶
Orders¶
An Order is an alliance of lords. Open the Order panel (O) to found one, browse the others and apply.
- Founding: any lord outside an Order can found one with a name (3 to 48 characters) and a tag (2 to 8 characters), both unique in the world. The founder leads it.
- Joining: apply to an Order with a message. Its founder and officers receive your application and accept or decline it. Joining one Order withdraws your other applications.
- Ranks: founder, officer and member. The founder promotes and demotes members and can hand the founder's rank to another member. Officers accept applications, edit the Order's description and sigil, and dismiss members (only the founder can dismiss officers).
- Leaving: a founder who leaves passes the Order to an officer (the lord who has played longest first) or else to the member who has played longest. An Order whose last member leaves is disbanded.
Members of an Order share:
- the Order channel in the chat;
- the right to reinforce each other and to join each other's War Councils;
- the bonuses of the Order's calling, if its founder chose one.
Order callings¶
| Order calling | Bonuses for every member |
|---|---|
| Order of Blades | Faster marches between members (+10%); +1 level on battle lore; +1 Spycraft level |
| Merchant League | Faster convoys (+10%); +5% mine yield; +5% mana; +10% vault capacity |
| Circle of Sages | +5% plots on settling; Faster marches into the Wilds (+10%) |
The Order roll in the Rolls ranks Orders by the renown of their members.
Sworn friends¶
Two lords can swear friendship whatever their Orders. Offer an oath by name from the Order panel; the other lord accepts or declines. Either lord can break the oath at any time.
Sworn friends may reinforce each other and join each other's War Councils, just like Order-mates.
War Councils¶
A War Council is a combined assault by up to 5 lords and 16 hosts that arrive at the same moment. Its leader forms it from one of their own assaults on the march and invites Order-mates and sworn friends by name; invited lords send their own hosts to join. See War Council assault for the timing rules.
Reinforcement¶
A host sent to reinforce camps at an ally's stronghold for 1 to 32 hours and defends it in every battle there. The lord being reinforced is told when it arrives. A Quartermaster's Depot at that stronghold makes the camp cheaper in aether.
